HD Admin or Kohl's Admin?

What is the relationship between Kohls Admin and HD Admin? Are they rivals or longtime friends?
That’s the question that comes to my mind—and I think to the minds of half the community surrounding both systems. I have a question: are you rivals, friends, or strangers? And who came first?
(Note: I’m not asking this to stir up trouble; I’m bringing it up because it’s something I’ve wondered about for years, and I imagine others have too. Please understand that I don’t want to cause any arguments or disorder!)

I'd assume... strangers? I'd also be hard to know who came first without digging deep into the history of both systems' legacy versions.

Haha its a fun question a lot of people and even Roblox staff have asked about. we've both been in overlapping Roblox communities since 2012 so occasionally bumped into each other in-game, and I was a major fan of his/kensai's Kohltastrophe's Realm game from that time too. a lot of my inspiration to start programming came from admin systems like person 299's, kohls and epix at the time too, so since then and even to this day, I have a lot of respect for them.

Since HD Admin took off in 2017 we've all made an effort, along with Scel who founded Adonis, to keep in contact and work alongside each other. we'll share platform insights or vulerabiltiies with each other for example that the others need to know, and there's sometimes necessary platform features/updates that we can collectively share our voice on to Roblox.

We're super fierce competitors for sure, but that competition over the last decade has driven us all to make better applications for the Roblox community, and it's always been friendly competition thanks to the healthy communications we all setup in those early days

We're sworn enemies... alright not actually. As a contributor at HD Admin and Kohl's Admin the general consensus is that we both exist and equally great in different ways. Both systems kind of push each other, like @ForeverHD said, to be better. Fun little fact but one of the frontend UI developers for HD Admin, @ImAvafe, was taking looking Kohl's Admin UI the other day for how she could learn from it. Let's say Kohl did a really good at making his UI. It's kind of funny at the developer overlap both systems have.

Yes, I was definitely inspired by the Kohls Admin interface. I remember when it first launched in beta—the interface was just black, white, and gray—but then a UI designer came along and completely revamped it; it turned out really beautiful. I also think the HD Admin interface is stunning in terms of detail, but Kohls Admin excels in both aesthetics and ease of use—that’s just my personal opinion! Did you contribute to both of those systems? That’s so cool! :3
